Errors and Problems

Below is a list of errors you might encounter when logging into Spectrum and using its registration features. If you encounter an error or problem not discussed here, of if you have questions about one of the listed problems (and explanation), contact the Registrar. Call 901.678.2810 or e-mail registrar@memphis.edu.

When contacting the Registrar, clearly identify yourself so that we can locate your record ; please state:

• Your full name (spell out your middle name)
• Your User Name (UUID)
• Your Banner ID ("U" plus 8 digits; ex, U12345678), or the last 4 digits of your SSN if you do not know your Banner ID

Be specific as to what problem you encountered. If you received an error message, please tell us what it was and what you were doing when you received it. If you encountered strange behavior but no error message, please tell us what you were doing and how the system behaved.

	Cannot COMMIT in a trigger ORA-06512: …
	CPBSESSID cookie error, usually accompanied with a "break-in attempt was detected" message
	Page not found
PROBLEMS (no error message appears):
	Immediate logout after login, often after you click a tab

	You don't have authorization to render this channel.
PROBLEMS (no error message appears):
	Registration Tools channel missing
	Student and Account$ tabs missing

	This page is not enabled for current user role(s).

	A break-in attempt was detected. You have attempted to access a disabled page.

	Authorization Failure - Invalid Alternate PIN. Please contact the Registrar's Office for further information.

	You are only permitted to register for [11.999 or 8.999] hours due to outstanding immunization requirements. Please submit proof of MMR if full-time registration is desired.
	You have no Registration Time Ticket. Please contact the registration administrator.
	You require re-admission prior to registration.
